TE PAHU.

(Own Correspondent.)

On Friday evening the Karamu military ball was held in the Te Pahu hall, at which there was a very large attendance. A most enjoyable evening’s dancing followed, and fire event throughout reflects great credit upon those responsible. Music as supplied by Mrs Parker and Mr Marsh was grea'ly appreciated. During the evening Colonel Allen Bell presented the Non - commissioned Officers Cup to Corporal A. Smith and the Troop Cup to Sergt. Haddock, at the same time delivering a very interesting address on the Compulsory Military Training scheme now in force. An excellent supper was provided and altogether a most enjoyable evening was spent.
