TE AWAMUTU FOOTBALL CLUB MEETING.
(TO THE EDITOR.)
SIR, —In the report in your last Tuesday’s issue of the above Club’s meeting to consider the action of the Cambridge Rugby Union in disqualifying the above Club, I beg to take exception to the facts as reported. Our captain is reported as having been interviewed, and after consulting his team, stated ffiat the Kihikihi Club was quite willing to fall in with the proposal to allow R. Cunningham to be registered as a Te Awamutu player. This is not correct. The facts are that the Te Awamutu Club was allowed to join the Cambridge Rugby Union on the understanding that they did not interfere with any other club’s boundaries, and this they did in playing R. Cunningham. Far from our captain agreeing to R. Cunningham playing for Te Awamutu, he strongly objected to the suggestion. Hoping that you will find room in your next issue for this letter, as your report is rather misleading as to facts. —I am, etc.,
A Member Kihikihi Football Club.

TO THE EDITOR. SIR, —A lady resident on Saturday night after crossing the street from Heerdegen’s fruit shop, asked me to inquire from the Town Board when tenders would be called for the Maungatautare water supply and concrete crossings. This lady did not make any unkind remarks, like Edward De Mey. I would, therefore, esteem it a great favour if you could give me the information. —I am, etc.,
mud Lark.
