A very successful and enjoyable euchre tournament and dance was held iu the Ohaupo Public Hall under the auspices of the Ohaupo School Committee in aid of the school prize fund. There were upwards of fiftv present, nine sets in all competein g at euchre, the winning lady was Miss Edith Edwards, the first prize for the gents going to Mr E. Bell. Miss McCabe secured the ladies "booby" prize, and Master S. Graham being the successful competitor for the gents booby. After the presentation of the prizes, dancing was indulged in, and kept up till the early hours. It is the intention of the Ohaupo School Committee to hold another social and dance on a very much larger scale on June 14th, and those wishing for "a good evening's enjoyment would do well to bear this date in mind.
