WHEAT SHORTAGE.

In reference to a report from Dunedin that there has been a rise in the price of flour of ten shillings a ton, it was stated in Wellington yesterday tliat no move had been made on the local market. The increase is considered to be due to a shortage in wheat in the, south.

It was thought at one time during the very dry weather thaj nearly the whole of the wheat crops down south would be ruined but rain came in time to save them.
