A smart arrest was made by Constable Lander this morning, when a young man named J. A. Hill was arrested at Te Awamutu for failing to comply with his release under the First Offenders’ Probation Act. The prisoner appeared before J. B. Teasdale, Esq., J.P., this morning, and was remanded to Waihi, where the probation was granted.
