POLICE COURT.-TE AWAMUTU.
At the Police Court, on April 19th, before Messrs H.lrvine and W. North, J's.P., John Devitt was charged by the police with being found drunk in Alexandra St., on April 15th. He was convicted and fined ss.
As the result of a street brawl two young men were charged by the police with causing a breach of the peace in Alexandra St. on April 18th. It appears that on insulting insinuations being made some redress was sought and the charged with breaking a pane of glass value 16s, the property of W. G, Abbott, On the first charge a fine of £1 Is w#h costs £1 3s was inflicted. They were also ordered to defray the cost of the broken pane of glass with Court costs 5s on the second charge.
