Mr D. Eddy was admitted to the District Hospital on Saturday suffering from pneumonia. Mr G. Mendel], who was injured in a motor accident nearly two years ago, is now an inmate of the Wellington Hospital, where he is undergoing a bone-grafting operation. Among the New Zealanders in England at present is Miss Elsie Dillon, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Dillon, of Patangata. Miss Dillon, who was trained in the Waipukurau Hospital, was in London at the outbreak of war, and offered her services to the Government. She lias been appointed to Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service, and is now located at the Matlock Hospital, in Derbyshire.
