THE EXHIBITION

RUMORED POSTPONEMENT EMPHATIC DENIAL. WELLINGTON, This day. Directors of the Centennial Exhibition are perturbed by the circulation, particularly in the north of New Zealand, of unfounded rumors that the exhibition may have to be postponed for a year. An emphatic denial that this was so was given yesterday by the general manager, Mr C. P. Hainsworth. He said that preparations for the exhibition had advanced to such a stage that there was no possibility of a postponement, unless in the event of war or national emergency.
