Sinclair, -Waipawa, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of carrying out electrical work at the De Luxe Service Station, Waipawa, without being the holder of a wireman’s license.

On behalf of the Electrical Wiremen’s Registi'ation Board, Mr C. G. E. Harker said that it was. desired to place before the public the seriousness Of unregistered wiremen carrying out suck work. The defendant, it was stated, employed a registered wireman in his business but he was busy at the time of the offence and Sinclair was assisting with the installation at the De Luxe. In this particular instance there was no suggestion of any danger. The defendant, at his age, was unable to register as to do so lie would have to go through an apprenticeship. He had had considerable electrical experience, however, and generally supervised the work being done by his employee. All such installation work had to pass a test when completed.
