METHODIST CIRCUIT

INDUCTION OF THE REV. 11. PATCHETT. The induction into the AA’aipawn Methodist Circuit of the Rev, R. Patehett took place on AVednesday evening in the Methodist Church before a good congregation. The Rev. C. Olds, Hastings, chairman of tlie district, conducted the service, during which he gave wise and helpful counsel both to the new minister and the congregation. During the evening Mr Olds presented the Rev. R. Patehett with a beautifully-bound Bible from the Home Mission department, marking the fact of his full connection. After the service a social hour took place, during which speakers from Hastings, Waipawa and Waipukurau warmly rvelcomed the new minister, to which he suitably replied. An enjoyable supper brought a memorable Methodist evening to a close.
