INNINGS VICTORY IN TEST
AUSTRALIAN BATSMEN FAIL BADLY BRADMAN AND FINGLETON UNABLE TO BAT. LONDON, August 25. England won the fifth and last test cricket match of the present series by an innings and 579 runs. Neither Bradman nor Fingleton was able to bat for the Australians, the former having broken a small bone of his right shin when he fell, and the latter suffering from a strained muscle. The other batsmen, however, made a poor showing, and were all disposed of for 201 runs, Brown being top scorer with 69.
