GOLF.

THE WAIPAWA CLUB MATCH AGAINST PARKVALE. A well-attended meeting of the Waipawa Golf Club was held in the Borough meeting room on Friday night, the president, Mr S. W. Strang, presiding. A draft of the proposed new constitution was submitted for consideration, and after considerable amendment was adopted. Application will now be made to have the club registered as an incorporated society. The official opening of the club will be held on the 29th inst., and it is expected that large numbers of visitors from other clubs will he present to try out the new course. An afternoon programme is being arranged, but members and visitors will be welcome all day. Further advice regarding this matter will be submitted to neighboring clubs within a few days. The first inter-club match for the season will be played during the week-end at Parkvale, the team to represent Waipawa being selected from the following:—Watts, R. Knobloeh, Tickner, Edwards, A. Kittow, G. Knobloch, Walker, J. Knobloch, F. Witherow, Surridge, Strang, Dwight, Mitchell, Dallas, Dick, Petersen. Any of the above unable ,to play please ring secretary urgently. Cars to leave not later than 8.30 a.m.
