“A LOT OF TWADDLE”

SHAREMILKERS’ AGREEMENT. HASTINGS, Last night. “It is a lot of txvaddle from start to finish; it places the sharernilker in a more difficult position than ever. ’ ’ Strongly criticising the new sharemilkers’ agreement recently drafted by the Government, Mr D. Isdale told the Haxvke’s Bay (Hastings) Farmers’ Union on Saturday that the only satisfactory feature of the agreement to sharemilkers xvas the fact that they xvere noxv eligible to go before the Arbitration Court and have it amended. On the other hand, the clause in the agreement xvhieh stipulated that the sharernilker should pay half the costs of his harvesting xx T as as ridiculous as it xvas unfair, Mr Isdale said. Expressing similar viexx's members at the meeting agreed that the agreement would be of little benefit to sharemilkers. No action xvas taken in the matter, hoxvever, and the meeting deeided to receive the agreement, which was enclosed in a letter from the head office.
