FOR THE TERRITORIALS. WELLINGTON, Last- night. The lung delay in obtaining approval by 1 a billet of the plan to put the territorial force into a new uniform has led to the belief that a hitch in the arrangements has occurred. The move to give the territorials a new and more attractive uniform, “so that the wear and tear of field training may he confined to service dress, war first announced as a possibility by the Minister of Defence, the Hon F. The Minister obtained n specimen of the blue dresuniform worn by the Australian forces. As a recruiting stimulus the value of a smart uniform was appreciated hv senior officers and blue was the color suggested. However, it is now believed that the Alinister has changed his mind, for proposals have been him up for some time awaiting Cabinet confirmation. Mr Jor:"s recently stated that there had been some criticism of the blue uniform i -ued in Britain and that it might he of a poor type. Thus it is believed here that wider inquiries are being m: before a final arrangement is entered upon.
