H. Rathbone’gj one on Pattison’s, one on 11. M. Rathbone estate, and two on Walker’s; saw traces on Waipawa Borough reserve; saw traces on Waldron’s and Butler’s; saw one on Larsen’s, two on Kirk’s; traces on F. Thompson’s; on native sections; on Kirk’s; saw two on Ward’s; traces on James’ and Elliot’s; saw one on Grant’s and three on Illsley’s, on ITeald’s and Kaithness; saw one on Prescott’s and traces on Elliot’s; saw one and killed a nest of six on Boyle’s; saw traces on Meinung’s and Mullinder’s, on Evans’ and Vaughan’s; saw traces on Haycocks’, Mclntosh’s and S. Thomson’s; saw two on Forbes’; saw signs on Slice’s and Davidson’s; saw three on R. Ellison’s, native section; saw traces on Wilson’s, Nevill’s, Aldrich’s and Tennant’s; saw two on Allen’s, four on Bell’s, one on Lowe’s and two on McLean’s; saw one and killed a runner on O’Callaghan’s; saw one on White’s; traces on Tasma, on Douglas’ and Smith’s; same to Onga Onga; saw one, killed a runner and a nest of six on Mathews’; saw two on D. Matheson estate; saw seven on Bidwill’s, two on Chesterman’s, six on Bullock’s, five on McKay’s and two on Glenselwyn, adjoining Bullock’s; saw several on Wakarara station, Devil’s Gully blocks, nine on Glenselwyn, Sale and Greenhills blocks, and seven on McKay’s; saw seven on Gwavas; came to Onga Onga; saw seven and killed a runner on Glenselwyn, Lake blocks; saw three on H.vnish; saw four on Wakarara station (Baldhill block) and seven on Poporangi station (Ellis whare block); saw five on Wakarara. station (Tinwhare Mock) and four and killed a runner on Poporangi station (Andrew’s block); saw traces on Kereru station (road-end block); saw one on D. Walker’s; traces on Jowsey’s; saw one on Bighill station (fiats); saw five on Bighill station (front country); came to Kereru; came from Kereru to Onga Onga; saw traces on McLeay’s, Tollemache’s and Inglis’; saw one on A. R. Jensen’s, and one on Morrison Bros.’; saw traces on C. Severinsen’s, and Pukinui (lower end); saw three on Pukinui, three on Herbert’s and two on J. Thomson’s; saw traces on C. Thomson’s.
Inspector R. Short. —Saw signs on Dyer’s; killed one at Pa; saw three on Adams’, same on Priest’s; saw one and signs on Avery’s, Pukekurar killed one and saw signs on Dillon’s; killed one on Stephenson’s and one on Kittow’s, Patangata; started two on Long Range and one and signs on Price’s; saw signs on Blackhead station; getting carbon bisulphide and bags ready for gassing burrows on the sandhills.
