NOTHING MYSTERIOUS.

ABOUT SECRET LEGISLATION. WELLINGTON, Last night. 1 ‘ There is nothing mysterious about it,” stated the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) when questioned to-day about what has been described as a “secret measure” to be introduced into the House of Representatives. Without giving any hint as to the contents of the proposed measure, Mr Savage said: “Nothing is going to happen in the House this evening that has not happened a hundred times before in the House since we have had a Parliament. “We are not declaring war on Day’s Bay or Paekakariki or anything like that,” he added with a smile.
