PARK CUP CHALLENGE MATCH. EASY WIN FOR WAIPUKURAU OLD BOYS. The only loeal football match on Saturday was that between Waipawa United and Waipukurau Old Boys, a challenge match by the former for the Park Cup. The holders won by 20 points to six. Old Boys attacked from the start and had Waipawa defending for some time, till Wright finalised a nice passing movement by scoring in a handy position. C. Wilson was unfortunate wtih the kick, the ball striking the cross-bar. Whites continued to press and Rupuha was called upon several times to clear the line. Eventually' a tong kick by Elliott went over the line and Richardson mulled to allow Scherf to score a try. Bell failed to improve. Shortly afterwards from a scramble over the line Dyer scored near the uprights, and he added the major points.

A few minutes later Dyer kicked a penalty goal, making the score 14—0 in Waipukurau’s favor. Early in the second half Waipawa carried play to their opponents’ territory, and Rupuha, who had gone to five-eighths, scored at the corner. Richardson failed with a difficult kick.

After a period of even play Whites attacked strongly, and E. Wilson, following a good run, transferred to Dyer, who scored. His shot at goal went wide. Waipukurau's next score was registered by Monteith, who took the kick himself, and although the hall went over the bar the goal was disallowed owing to an infringement. Shortly before the call of time Gurran registered the second score for Waipawa, King failing to improve. RAXFURLY SHIELD. ANOTHER WIN TO CANTERBURY. Canterbury played another Ranfurly Shield match on Saturday, the challengers being Buller. The Coast team put up a great fight, but the superior combination of the Canterbury team enabled them to score another win by 13 points to nil. OTHER REP. GAMES. Playing at Dunedin Wellington defeated Otago by 14 points to 11. At Palmerston North Manawhenua defeated Wairarapa by 27 to six. Napier-Hastings, at Dannevirke, beat the Dannevirke Sub-union team by 14 points to 11. Playing on their home ground Auckland defeated Taranaki by 12 points to six.
