Mr J. A. Kerr, of Ruatanij is at present in Wellington for purpose of attending the uni meeting of the Farmers’ Union, Mr Frederick J. Foot, eldest soi Mr and Mrs A. F. Foot, \Yni|)i ran, has had the degree of Bari; of Law conferred on him InSenate of the University of New land. Mr S. C. G. Lye has been help to contest the Hamilton seat at coming general election in the ii ests of the United Party. Mr B will Ire the Labor candidate. Miss Didsbury, who has been ducting the dental clinic at ' pawa since its re-opening in Plunket Society’s rooms, has recalled by the department to res work at Ekctahuna, and she let the mail train yesterday. Miss I bury, during the brief period which she was in charge of the clinic, proved herself a capable painstaking nurse, and did exce work. Tire clinic will be closed | short period, until Miss Rood completed her term at Waipuki when she will resume duty in ’ pawa.
The Rev. J. Pigott, vicar o Peter's parish, has tendered hi signation to the Bishop of Wi and purposes leaving •'or Knj with Mrs Pigott and family, b Rangitata on August 15th, and will take up their permanent denee in the Old Country. D their three and a-lialf years’ rosi in Waipawa Mr and Mrs ! have formed many warm frionc and been zealous workers in nil ters pertaining to the welfare tt vaneement of the church. Tbs’ carry with them to the Homclaii best wishes of all with whom have been associated during tile journ in Waipawa.
