THE WANGANUI MEETINC. DAY OF ACCIDENTS. The concluding day of the * Wanganui meeting on Saturday will not soon be forgotten by those who attended. One jockey, E. Warner, received very severe injuries in the Rata Hack Hurdles through Gala Day falling and later in the day he succumbed. Three horses had to be shot as the result of injuries received. Puwhero and Millais both broke fetlocks and Day Guard strained the ligaments of a leg so severely that his career had to be ended.' Mr Cecil Louisson, of Napier, purchased Millais from Mr Frank Ormond on Tuesday last for 215 guineas. The totalisator turn-over for the meeting was £48,891 10s, as against £49,795 last year.
