News came through to Waipawa last night of the death at Pahiatna of Mrs Pratley, wife of Mr Albyn Pratley, after a short illness. The deceased lady was a daughter of Mr J. Avison and daughter-in-law of Mr Joseph Pratley. The sympathy of the community will go out to the bereaved husband and the relatives in their loss. The funeral of the late Mrs Herrick, who passed away in Napier on Wednesday, at the advanced age of 80 years, took place to-day at St. Peter’s cemetery, Waipawa, being very largely attended. The deceased lady was the widow of the late Colonel Herrick, and resided for many years at Forest Gate, Onga Onga,
