The adjourned monthly meeting of the Waipawa School Committee will he held at 7 o’clock this evening. The monthly meeting of tne Central H.B. Power Board will be held at Waipukurau on Friday morning.

The confirmation of the resolution passed at the August meeting of the Waipawa County Council amalgamating four of the ridings for rating purposes should have been taken at the meeting of the Council on Monday, but owing to a technicality it had to be postponed until the October meeting.

The whole of the pupils of Te Aute College came to Waipawa to-day for the purpose of attending the screening of the picture “The King of Kings. ’ ’ The annual ball in connection with the Otane school will be held in the Town Hall on Friday evening next, and it is expected to prove quite as successful as any in past years.
