CRICKET.
CENTRAL SUB-ASSOCIATION. The cricket competition was advanced a further stage on Saturday, when two out of the three matches were completed in the one day. At Wanstead Eparima defeated Waipawa by 97 runs, and Waipukurau High School beat Otane by 11 wickets. The Waipukurau Old Boys-Waipawa High School match is unfinished, with the position in favor of the boys. Playing for Heretaunga against Technical Old Boys at Napier on Saturday Beuth and Lowry each made a century, the former being unbeaten at 100 and Lowry having 126 to his credit. The score stands at 252 for one wicket. ALL OUT FOR ONE. There was an extraordinary occurrence in Rangitikei senior cricket on Saturday. Marton dismissed Junction for only one run. Bowling for Marton, Biss took six for one and Broad four for none. Only ten overs were bowled.
