Mr R. W. Bond, County Engineer, left on Saturday on a short visit to his parents at New Plymouth. Mr A. E. Jull left by the mail train this morning on a business visit to Wellington. Mr W. C. F. Spargo, clerk to the Otane Town Board, has returned home from a motor tour of the Wanganui and Wellington districts. Mr C. A. Cumming, headmaster of tlie Waipawa District Higli School, lias accepted appoint men! to the Miramar South School, Wellington, and leaves in the course of a few days.to take up his new duties. Tile departure of Mr and Mrs Cumming from Waipawa will lie greatly regretted, as during their stay here both have entered loyally into the social life of the town. Mr Cumming lias done excellent work in the school, from the scholastic standpoint, lias been the means of placing Hie school library on a sound footing, and the tone throughout (lie institution is on a very high plane. Mr and Mrs Cumming will carry with them the best wishes of a wide circle of friends.
