The “Waipawa Mail” will not be published on Good Friday or Easter Monday. Schools in Waipawa and district will reopen next Wednesday. Up to the present 107 motor drivers’ licenses have been issued in the borough by the town clerk. In this issue the Borough Council invite tenders for the delivery of a motor reel and also for electrically lighting the theatre. Building permits to the value of £22,000 for works in course of construction, have been issued by the Waipawa Borough Council. The Easter traffic on the railways has set in and the last two days tiic express trains have beeu crowded with passengers. The cold snap warrants something warmer in the shape of gloves. We have been asked to publish a warning that trespassers will he prosecuted. There will he no objection to persons with proper authority inspecting the Home, hut children will not he allowed to make it a playground.
