LEVIED ON RECALCITRANT UNIONS. (Electric Telegraph.—Copyright). ( Received This Day, 10.46 a.m.) PERTH, This day. Ihe secretary of the Fremantle Wharf Lumpers' Union stated that Ihe Fremantle Union had been fined £IOOO by the management committee in Melbourne in consequence of the refusal by the local unionists to work certain vessels chartered by the Commonwealth line. He added that the Adelaide branch had been fined £2OOO for a similar reason. Local unionists fear that if they refuse to pay the flue the committee of management will declare Fremantle “black,’’ in Which case no goods would In* loaded for that port.— (A. & N.Z.)
