FIRE AT WAIPUKURAU.

FACTORY COMPANY’S GARAGE DESTROYED. Oil Wednesday evening a fire occurred in the Dairy Factory’s garage which resulted in the destruction of the building and considerable damage being done to two of the motor lorries. An employee had been filling up the petrol tank of one of the cream lorries in readiness for the morning round. It overflowed and the benzine on the floor ignited in some way. The fire spread rapidly, and only two of the four lorries were got out undamaged. The building, which is of brick, was gutted. The two damaged lorries were insured in the South British office for £I6OO, whilst the garage was included in the insurance of £9295 on the main buildings. The estimated damage is £B7O.

Why run the risk? Insure with the Norwich Union Fire Office. All classes of risks covered. —W. J. Pellow, Agent, Waipawa.*
