Sir George Hunter, M.P., returned to Porangahau from Wellington or Monday. Mr J. B. Andrew, the present Mayor of Napier, will again be a candidate for the Mayoral chair in April. Bro. Quigley, Grand Master of tlu Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, wiP pay a visit to Waipawa on Friday next, and attend a meeting of the Abbotsford Lodge that evening. Mr W. C. Crockford, who recently returned from a visit to the Old Country, has completed negotiations for a business in Wellington, and will shortly take up his residence in the Empire City*.
