PERSONAL ITEMS.

The death occurred suddenly at Cambridge last week of a well-known resident of the district, Mrs Jam Simpson McFarland, aged 105 years. Deceased was born at Breakfield, Londonderry, Ireland, in March, 1815, the year of Waterloo. She came out to New Zealand in 1874, and had lived at Cambridge ever since. She had the remarkable reputation of never having had a day’s illness in her life.
