BOWLS.
Good progress was made with Novice Singles 011 the howling pf 1 yesterday, a number of games Wl played. There were some very ds* finishes, and two -of the games *®j won with the last bowl. Cox is lew ing in the competition with five w® and one loss, Simpson being a clot second with four wins'and a loss. The Club's Championship Single competition lias commenced, t® players would facilitate matters 1' getting- off their games as quickly * possible. One full rink game was pltjj yesterday, as follows:—Jonsen, Ba® bone, Critcliley, Smith, 28; B* l Dryden, Wills, Brewer, 14. Mrs W. H, Ratlibone gave tea.
