The course is in good order and there is a large attendance. Results:— First Hack Hurdles.—Yankee Jack 1, Papanui 2, Multicipal 3. Scratched: Munster. AA 7 on by four lengths. Time, 3.12 3-5. N.Z. St. Leger Stakes. —Afterglow 1, Star Lady 2, Almoner 3. The only starters. AVon by two and a-half lengths. Time, 3.0 Plunket Nursery Handicap.—Red Pepper 1, Some Kid 2, Ermine 3. AA'on by a neck. Time, 1.0 1-5. Thompson Handicap.—Sasanoff 1, Spanner 2, Rude 3. Scratched: Red Ribbon, Rebekah. Won by a neck. Time, 1.38. Challenge Stakes.—Warplane 1, Affectation 2, Printemps 3. Gloaming, the only other starter, was caught in the tapes and fell. Time, 1.26 2-5. REEFTON RACES. IEEFTON, This day. The weather is fine but overcast for the races. The attendance is large and the course is in good order. Results:— Peace Handicap.—Tyson 1, Tantalus 2, Guinea Gold 3. Also started: AA 7 ar Tax, Divorce, AVinnipg Number. Progress Trot. —Palmdale 1, Trixie Adair 2, Miss Marion 3. Scratched: Marvolo. AA 7 on by three lengths. Time, 2.23. Stewards’ Handicap.—Merton 1, Divorce 2, Rosevear 3. Scratched: Amity, Kaminohe, Hokitika. Won by a length. Time, 1.18.
