MICHAELIS SEEKS TO PLACATE THEM. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) BERNE, July 27. Dr. Michaelis, German Chancellor, had a series of conferences with the party leaders, the longest being with the Socialists. The deputies representing a majority of the Socialists adopted a resolution allowing members of the party to accept posts under the Government.
