FATAL TABLOIDS.

DEATH OF A CHILD. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, This day. A girl aged fourteen months, daughter of Captain A. S. A. Whitney, died as the result of eating quinine tabloids, which her father kept on a table in a bottle for his own use. The doctor stated at the inquest that the tabloids were very sweet and agreeable to the palate, and if a child of fourteen months swallowed two or 'three the result would be fatal.
