WANT PEACE.

NO BIG GERMAN OFFENSIVE LIKELY. FAILURE OF THE SUBMARINES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received This Day, 2 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, July 25. The “National Tidendes’ ” Berlin correspondent says no great German offensive is expected in the future. The Reichstag’s majorities for peace action are due to the fact that they prefer peace, and are now convinced that they will not get better terms six months hence. They believe that Germany is unable to obtain a victory and dictate terms. Although she cannot be defeated she cannot defeat the Allies. The people have been greatly deceived because England was not forced to abandon the war before the harvest through the submarines.
