RUSSIANS FORGING AHEAD.
A WEDGE DRIVEN INTO ENEMY ARMY. ITALIAN SUCCESSES. AN IMPORTANT POSITION CAPTURED. Each day's news from the Eastern front continues to improve. To-day we are informed that the Russian forces have succeeded in driving a wedge into the enemy army in the Bukowina, cutting it in two, while further successes are also reported in other sectors. The Italians appear to have taken a new lease of life, and are now pressing the offensive vigorously, the Alpinos having captured an important positie::. (Per Press Association).
