HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB. Ideal weather favored the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club for the opening of their autumn meeting yesterday. The attendance was good, but there was a big falling off in the totalisator receipts, £17,603 as against £20,688 last year. Results: — Longlands Hack Hurdles—Gladful 1, Czaronus 2. Maiden Hack.—Anzac 1, Woodlark Nursery.—Sarah Grand 1, Tinkler Porangahau Handicap. Greenstreet 1, Hushabye 2. Cup.—Eligible 1, Wishful 2, Balboa 3. • Knramu Hurdles.—Woolloomooloo 1, Braeburn 2. Hawke’s Bay Stakes.—Sasanoff 1, Hyttus 2, Bjorneberg 3. Scratched— Colonnade, Lady Kilworth, Tinoatua, Sarah Grand, Tinkler. Won by half a length. Time, 1.21 1-5.
