HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB. Ideal weather favored the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club for the opening of their autumn meeting yesterday. The attendance was good, but there was a big falling off in the totalisator receipts, £17,603 as against £20,688 last year. Results: — Longlands Hack Hurdles—Gladful 1, Czaronus 2. Maiden Hack.—Anzac 1, Woodlark Nursery.—Sarah Grand 1, Tinkler Porangahau Handicap. Greenstreet 1, Hushabye 2. Cup.—Eligible 1, Wishful 2, Balboa 3. • Knramu Hurdles.—Woolloomooloo 1, Braeburn 2. Poukawn Hack.—Aurora 1, Slinki 2. Autumn Handicap.—Kooya 1, The Summit 2. SECOND DAY. (Per Press Association). HASTINGS, This day. The Jockey Club’s meeting was continued to-dav in lovely weather. Results:— Oliiti Ilack Hurdles.—Gladful 1, Jem 2, Czaronus 3. Scratched — Sleight of Hand. Won by a length easily. Time, 3.19. Okawa Handicap.—Hygia 1, Toki 2, Spain 3. Scratched—Lord Laddo, Eldepee. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.51 1-5. Juvenile Handicap.—Hyllus 1, Beltane 2, Sunny Climes 3. Scratched— Ily thread. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.3. Hawke’s Bay Stakes.—Sasanoff 1, Hyttus 2, Bjorneberg 3. Scratched— Colonnade, Lady Kilworth, Tinoatua, Sarah Grand, Tinkler. Won by half a length. Time, 1.21 1-5. Burke Memorial Stakes.—Kooya 1, Chortle 2, Lady Louisa 3. All started. A great race. Won by a head. Time, 2.7 3-5.
