Mr C. J. Cooke, Waipukurau, the following comparison of rainfall with that of previous Rainfail for first three rnonthi -^B 1 4 42 inches; 1908, 821 inches, 15 97 inches; 1910, 813 4 37 inohee. Rainfall for April —1907,2 1908, 366 inches; 1909, 1910, 1.76 inches ; 1911, 3 00 Thus the rainfall for January, ary and March for this year is for five years. It should be that two thirds of this rainfall, three inohes was contributed thunder showers. Raiu fell in Waipawa on 15 ing April, the registered record follows :—4th, 23; sth, 16th, -31; 17th, 35; 18th, 15; 03 ; 20tb, 06 ; 21st, 1 48; 23rd, 06; 24th, 10; 25th, 39; 05 ; 30th, 15.
