Articles have been signed for a contest for the championship of England and a purse of £9OO between Gunner Moir, the holder and lan Hague, the young Mexborough boxer. The men are to box the best of twenty three minute rounds for the ohampiouship of England and £2OO aside—the miuiinuni wager allowed under the new rule of the N.S.C. for heavy weight championship contests. In addition, the N SO. hangs up a purse of £9OO. This is by far the largest purse ever offered by the N S.O. for a contest between two Englishmen, and it is in keeping with the liberal spirit pervading headquarters, which is determined to be as generous as possible in order to encourage our own boxers.

There’s something now to cure one faster Of cough or cold than mustard plaster, No more these blisters I’ll endure, I’ll purchase Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure.” 99
