Scratched— Paritutu, Kuiraguo and Mozart. Won by two lengths. Northern Championship Stakes— Kakaina 1, Maori King 2, Elysian 3. Scratched—Hyperion, Monsieur Soulfc, Fleet Arrow, Flying Fish, Roitlethe, Tuku Tuku. Won by half a length.
