Friendly Societies.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, This day A conference of delegates of Friendly Societies in the Wellington district is being held to-day, to oonsider the proposed model medical agreement as submitted by the Wellington division of the British Medioal Association. The ohairman in the course of his statement, said he could not agree with the clause providing for an increase of remuneration aud the clause for reduced mileage, and the increased charge for the same was, in his opinion, rather hard. He believed a compromise could be effected but if societies felt themselves strong enough they could obtain dootors, who would not of necessity be members of the British Medioal Association. It was decided to discuss the agreement with closed doors. INVITATION Cards, Circulars and Tickets at the Mail Office.
