The Prime Minister is to remain in Wellington until the 7th December, when he will leave for Inveroargill to attend the Southland Agricultural aud Pastoral Show.

The Hon Kathleep Plunket and maid are passengers by the Corintbic, whioh left Wellington for England to-day. The Hon W, Hall-Jones and family sailed fer England by the Shaw-Savill steamer Corinthic to-day. Dr Collins is also a passenger by the same boat. We regret to record the death of Mr G. T. Fannin, who passed away at his residence, Elizabeth-road, Napier, at the age of 78, early this morning. Mr W. Sounness, of Pongaroa, has resigned his position as clerk of the Akitio County Council, but the resignation does not take offect immediately R.W. Bro. J. W. McDougall has announced his intention to relinquish office as Provincial Graud Master for the Masonic Order in this district at the end of his present term, when he will have completed seven years’ work in the position.
