Wedding.
Cronin—Hobbs. A very pretty, though quiet wedding, was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Ohuroh, Waipawa, yesterday morning, when Miss Phoebe Hobbs, daughter of Mr W. Hobbs, of Ashoott, and Mr Joseph Henry Cronin, of Woodville, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the Rev. Father Johnston. The bride was attired in a very pretty grey dress, trimmed with gold, with hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss Emily Hobbs, sister of the bride, who looked charmiDg in a white dress, with green Bash, and green hat relieved with piuk. Mr P. Cosgrove atteuded to the duties of best man, while Mr John Cosgrove gave the bride away. The bridgegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold brooch set with diamonds and sapphires, and to the bridesmaid a pretty greenstone brooch. After the ceremony a number of friends wire entertained at the residence of Mr and Mrs John Cosgrove, the usual toasts being drunk. The presents were both numerous and useful. The happy i couple left by the 6 o’clock train amid a shower of rice en route to Wellington.
