Although successive bulletins do not indicate any marked change, it is acknowledged that Hir Henry CampbellBannerman is gradually boooming weakor.
. News has been received of tho death of Victor Harris, the young violinist, son of Mr and Mrs Harris, of Palmerston North, who had recently been studying in London. Mr R. E. and Mrs M. B. Bannister, Mr and Mrs Hugh Wright, Messrs T. luglis, T. Sime aud W. Irvine arrived in Waipawa, on Friday, in two Stuart motor oars, after a most enjoyable run through Hawke’s Bay. A very pretty wedding took place at St. Johu’s Church, Dannevirke, ou Saturday last, when Miss Pettit, the eldest daughter of Mr John Pettit, of Dannevirke, was married to Mr Edward Otto Frederick Von Dadeleon, sou of Mrs Von Dadolson, of Napier. Mr George G. Stead was seized with a serious fainting fit at Riooarton racecourse yesterday, just aftor the finish of the Champagne Stakes, which was won by his filly Golden Slipper. Medical aid was forthcoming immediately, and Mr Stead was taken home, but his condition last night had only improved slightly.
