By tho unauimous request of his supporters, Mr O. Hall has decided to stand again for the Waipawa seat.
For the last few days Sir Henry Campbell-Buunermau’s health has been no worse. He takes an iutorest in current events.
Owing to private business, Sir Reginald Talbot has resigned the Governorship of Viotcria, and returns to England early in July. Eorl Crew and Baron Tweedmcuth have been created Knights of the Garter aud Thistle respectively in succession to the Duke of Devonshire and Marquis of Linlithgow.
Major H. F. Head, of the Royal Garrison Artillery, latterly commanding No. 14 Company at Shoeburyness, has been appointed Director of Ordnance and Commandant of the Permanent Forces io New Zealand.
