Waipawa Rugby Sub-Union.. A meeting of tho Waipawa Rugby Sub-Union was held in the Commercial Hotel last night, Mr C. M. Whittingt u presiding. Present: —Delegates from Onga Onga, Tikokino, Huia, Waipukurau and Waipawa. CORRESPONDENCE. From United Section, about playing a match with tho 6ub-union with a view of seeing who is to represent this subunion.—lt was decided that n match be played at Waipukurau on 22nd Juno. From Dannevirke, re annual fixture. —Consideration of this matter wa3 held over till later in the season. From Hastings Sub-Union, re meeting of delegates from the sub-unions.—As Mr Lomas is delegate from this cub union, the matter was loft in his hands to deal with. GENERAL. lie appeal of Waipawa v. Waipukurau in Mitchell ca6G. On the motion of Mr Collott, seconded by Mr Wolsteuholme, it was agreed to play tho match over again at the end of the season. It was agreed that Senior games be off for two Saturdays, but Junior and Third Grade matches be playod next Saturday. It was agreed that Junior games' for second round be played on opposite grounds to the first round. lie School Competitions.—On the motion of Mr Whittington, seconded by Mr Lomas, it was resolved to writo to the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union for a grant of £lO to cover expenses. On the motion of Mr Gretju, seconded by Mr Wolsteuholme, it was agreed that

teams for the third round of tho Third Grade be drawn for, also ground*.

Mr Green moved, “ (1) That in cham pionship rule 15, line 5, the word ‘three’ bo deloted aud ‘five’ substituted ; (2) that before tho commencement of each ro’-tch the names of tho players on each side shad bo supplied to tho referee by the respective captains, and it shall bo the duty of the referee not to start any game until the names aro iu Isis possession. If tho list is not supplied the sido so offending to forfeit tho match. If neither side supply a list, tho match to be declared void. Referees to post such lists to Iho secretary of tho subanion oc the day of the match and if any such players aro not bona fide members of tho clubs for which they have played according to his records, the secretary shall, within two days, give notice to tho secretary cf tho club to wlvoli the oppori «g team belongs. ’— Carried.
