Trades and Labour Council.
[Per Press Association] Auckland, This day The Trades and Labour Council, after discussion on the question whether arbitration was beneficial or otherwise to New Zealand, decided to instruct their delegates to the Trades and Labour Conference that the Auckland Council is of opinion that the Act as it stands has been of benefit to the oolony. The council approved of a remit to the conference, urging the Government to increase the import duty on all printed matter by at least 25 per cent.
