Waipawa Road Board.

The Waipawa Road Board held their monthly meeting this forenoon. Present Messrs E. H. Lee (chairman), T. Butler, 0. Tricklebank, and W. H. Rathbone. The Board’s funds are in credit £4O 13s 9d. Correspondence between the North Ruataniwha Road Board and this Board was read. The clerk explained that a letter from the former had not been delivered in lime. Explanation satisfactory. The clerk was instructed to write regretting the absence of delegates, but assuring the Board that the portion of road to be formed was in the Ruataniwha Road District, that, the whole work will be done by this Board and asking for a proportionate share of cost of survey and work. It was resolved to write to the oounty oouncil asking whether they will be willing to subsidise this new road through Abbotsford run to the Brow and in what proportion. A sum of £l2 10s, as a g'-art in aid, was promised the Waipawa School Committee towards a Technical School. It was resolved that a |d in the £ rate be made for the current year. Tenders are to be invited as soon as specifications are ready for the footpath to Richmond Park.
