Railway Extension.

[Per Press Association] Christchurch, This day. A deputation of Cheviot settlers are on their way to Wellington to urge more rapid progress being made with the railway. A large gathering of business men, this morning, also passed resolutions urging that more haste should be shown. It was stated that at the present rate it would be several years before the railway would be completed, whereas it was promised to be opened in March, next year.
