Anniversary Handicap.— Blazer 1, Lolah 2, Red Gauntlet 3. Dividend £4 13s. The result of the Nowmarkot Handicap, run to-day, will bo posted at our office this evening. The Onga Onga cricket team will play a series of matches against representatives of Akitio aud Wainui, early in March. Notwithstanding the unfavourable weather experienced by the Waipawa Athletic Club for their sports meeting, it is satisfactory to find that the gathering was a financial success. Tho following players havo beon chosen to represent Waipawa in their cricket match against Waipukurau, on Wednesday next: —J. Bibby, 11. Collett, Carne, McKay, O’Reilly, Oliver, Pettit, Ryan, H. M. Rathbono, Withorow, and Wolstenholmo.
