Farewell Supper.
(Own Correspondent) Last Wednesday, at tha Waiuu Hotel, Messrs 0. L. and W. L. Mask sey were entertained by a number their neighbours and friends at a i„ well supper, these gentlemen hsvi disposed of the Lake Station, and bsi, about to leave the distriot. About f 0„ attended and the aooommodation of ,| hotel was taxed to its utmost oapaoii Mr W. A Chambers oooupied the ohaj and in a very eloquent speech props,, the health of the guests. Mr 8. J rest of the evening was most enjoys spent, songs and speeches following o another in quick succession, and the was not a dull moment during tho ur, ing. One important outoome of t| meeting will be a Town Hall for W, stead. Mr Chambers has promised site for tho hall anil Mr O. L Macksn, £26, so it is probable a hall will be li, before the winter is ended. Mr Cow, presided at the piano and also m several songs and added greatly to | hilarity of the evening. Tho oatsti was all that oonld he wished for, Ho Storah and his staff sparing no truul for tho oomfort of tho guests.
