Mistress, Miss Huggins ; roll 13 ; present 13 ; promoted 11. Remarks.—This is a well taught school and since last year the progress in the classes has been good. The numbers are small but the children are scattered among six standards and a preparatory class so that plenty of hard teaching is wanted to bring up the pupils to a fair standard. Standard VII is a good pupil and it is a pity that he is not sent to a high school. The other pupils do good work and the average progress is satisfactory. A little increased attention should be paid to mental arithmetic and the copy books should be carefully selected and followed. Otherwise the pass and class work is satisfactory. As a whole a good year’s work has ben done. Tone, behaviour and obedience are very good. (Signed) H. Hill, Inspector of Schools. The following are the passes : Standard Vll.—Fred Logan. Standard Vl.—John Irwin. Standard V.—Jessie Angus. Standard IV.—John Fleming. Standard lll.—Mary Logan, Bessie Angus, Sealey Irwin. Standard ll.—Annie Wheeler, Alice Logan, John Angus, Henry Irwin. * Preparatory.—Annie Irwin, Andrew Logan.
